AI That Learns From Real Customer Calls Just Landed $30 Million in Funding
Imagine hiring a new customer support agent.
Instead of weeks of training, manuals, and shadowing senior staff, the AI simply listens to thousands of your company's best customer conversations.
It learns what your top performers say. It learns when they crack a joke.
It learns which responses close deals, calm frustrated customers, and build lasting relationships.
That is exactly what startup Encore AI is trying to do and investors just rewarded that vision with a $30 million Series A funding round. The company believes the future of AI is not just about answering questions. It is about learning directly from your company's best employees.
From Financial Advisor Tool to AI Agent Builder
Encore AI was not always called Encore.
Founded in 2022 as Insait IO by CEO Dvir Ginzburg, the startup originally focused on helping financial advisors make better recommendations to clients. But as generative AI exploded, the team noticed something much bigger.
Every day, businesses generate an enormous amount of valuable knowledge during customer calls, emails, text messages, and meetings.
The problem? Almost none of that knowledge gets reused.
So the company reinvented itself as Encore AI, building a platform that transforms those conversations into training material for AI-powered sales and customer support agents.
AI That Learns From Your Best Conversations
Most AI assistants rely on prompts, documentation, and predefined rules. Encore takes a different approach.
The platform collects customer interactions across:
Phone calls, Emails, Text messages, CRM systems, Customer support conversations
It then analyzes every interaction to answer questions like:
Which salesperson consistently closes deals?
Which customer support responses reduce complaints?
Which phrases build trust fastest?
Where do conversations usually go wrong?
Encore calls this process "interaction mining."
Instead of guessing what works, the AI learns directly from conversations that already produced successful outcomes.
It Even Learns the Jokes
One of the more surprising details shared by CEO Dvir Ginzburg is that Encore's AI doesn't only copy facts. It can also learn communication style.
If a relationship manager regularly uses humor, relatable stories, or memorable analogies that improve customer engagement, the AI can incorporate those same techniques when appropriate. In other words, it does not simply memorize scripts. It learns the playbook behind successful conversations. That is a very different approach from traditional chatbots.
More Than Just Customer Support
Encore's AI agents are not designed only to replace human workers. They can also work alongside them.
The platform can:
Suggest responses during live conversations, Recommend better sales tactics, Handle routine customer inquiries automatically, Escalate complex cases to human agents, Identify weaknesses in existing customer service processes
Companies can even discover where customers lose interest during the sales journey and improve those specific stages.
Why Investors Are Paying Attention
The new $30 million Series A was led by Team8, with participation from Planven, Lukatz, Garage, and several banks and insurance companies some of which became investors after first using Encore's platform.
According to the company:
It now serves more than 40 enterprise customers worldwide. Most customers operate in the financial services sector.
Annual recurring revenue has grown more than fivefold since its seed funding less than 18 months ago, although exact figures remain undisclosed. The fresh funding will primarily help Encore expand its U.S. sales operations and bring its platform to more large financial institutions.
Competition Is Coming
Encore may have an innovative idea, but it isn't entering an empty market.
CRM giants like:
Salesforce, HubSpot, SAP, Zoho
already possess enormous amounts of customer data and are rapidly adding AI features to their platforms.
Ginzburg argues, however, that having customer data is not enough. The real advantage comes from treating historical conversations not just CRM records as the foundation for training AI.
According to him, established software providers would need to significantly redesign their technology stacks to make conversation history central to their AI systems. Whether that is true remains to be seen.
Why This Matters
For years, businesses trained employees by letting them observe their best coworkers.
Encore AI is trying to apply that exact principle to artificial intelligence. Rather than replacing human expertise, it is attempting to capture it, preserve it, and scale it. If the approach works, future AI agents may not just answer customer questions.
They may communicate with the personality, confidence, and effectiveness of your company's very best employee. And that is a future plenty of investors are willing to bet on.
With $30 million in fresh funding, Encore AI now has the resources to prove whether learning from human conversations is the next major evolution in enterprise AI.
