Delta is an AI-powered collaborative coding environment developed by Zed. It lets developers describe tasks in natural language while AI agents explore repositories, modify files, run commands, and work in isolated code checkouts. Each thread combines the agent conversation with the code changes it makes, making it easier to understand why changes were made and review them in context. Developers can connect models from providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, GitHub Copilot, Grok, and OpenRouter, or use Delta-hosted models on paid plans. Delta also supports team collaboration, terminals, reusable agent skills, code review workflows, and synchronized work across machines. The platform is currently in beta/early development and is available on macOS, Linux, and Windows.
